Practise the recommendation before chasing confidence

A workplace confidence exercise should produce an observable action and specific feedback. A motivational watchlist cannot establish a personal transformation.

TL;DR: Turn confidence advice into one small workplace behaviour. Judge the behaviour separately from whether you felt confident while doing it.

workwithkhushi02's watchlist gathers videos about habits, confidence and identity, including material attributed to Leana Deeb and Leila Hormozi. The cards identify possible starting points; they do not demonstrate that watching them changes someone's performance. A second motivational interview list makes a similar leap from compelling speakers to personal change.

For someone reluctant to contribute in technical meetings, I would start with a much smaller ambition: make one clear recommendation, give the reason and stay present for the response. That is something a colleague can observe. Becoming a different person is harder to define and easier to postpone.

My proposed exercise separates two records. The first records what I did. The second records how it felt. A difficult delivery can still contain a useful contribution, and a comfortable delivery can still be vague.

For a hypothetical design review, I would rehearse a recommendation to keep an integration synchronous until the team has evidence that asynchronous processing is needed. I would state the consequence I want to avoid, then ask the reviewer what condition would justify changing the design.

Afterwards, I would ask one colleague whether the recommendation and its reason were clear. I would not ask for a general rating of my confidence. Specific feedback tells me what to practise next: shorten the opening, show the relevant failure, or make the requested decision explicit.

The point is to create another attempt, not a verdict on identity. If the first contribution was unclear, the next rehearsal has a concrete job. If it was clear despite nerves, that also belongs in the record.

I inspected the watchlists, not every underlying interview. This is a proposed communication exercise; the cards do not support clinical claims or guaranteed psychological effects.

Give confidence practice an observable action, so a difficult feeling does not erase useful progress.
